E105: Tall Steve Mowry Has Different Ambitions –– and Different Results
Saturday Oct 07, 2023
Saturday Oct 07, 2023
Steve Mowry is a little different.
OK, maybe more than a "little" different. And yeah, we feel totally safe saying that, because Mr. Mowry himself admits as much on the latest edition of the 247 Combat Sports Podcast.
A 6-foot-8 heavyweight currently ranked No. 3 in Bellator MMA's heavyweight rankings, Mowry represents an imposing figure inside the cage.
...which is exactly what makes his mindset and his fighting philosophy so interesting.
Rather than relying on physical gifts alone, Mowry brings curiosity and a genuine interest to fighting. He's interested in technical details. When he loses, he wants answers and solutions –– immediately.
It's just how he's wired.
We have a feeling you'll like this episode –– our first from our new studio space in Hickory, PA (pardon the mess and the partial setup. We literally just moved in yesterday.).

E99: Wait, Why Are We Going to Cincinnati Anyway?
Monday Aug 07, 2023
Monday Aug 07, 2023
Why is 247 Fighting Championships headed to Cincinnati?
It's a valid question.
Since 247 Fighting Championships' inception in the spring of 2019, we've stuck to the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Monroeville. Washington. Canonsburg. A couple of side quests to Johnstown.
So why Cincinnati? And why now?
247 FC General Manager, Matchmaker Jim Mooney, and intern/video guru Dylan Kohl jump on a podcast to explain.
If you're interested in the business side of local MMA at all, you're gonna like this one.
