Lozej enjoyed a stellar, undefeated amateur career but stumbled in his pro debut in August after a long, COVID-induced layoff.

Podcast: Craig Perry Discusses Gruesome Injury, Return Plans
Friday Mar 11, 2022
Friday Mar 11, 2022
That was not how Craig Perry and his Academy coaches drew it up.
Back at Brawl in the Burgh 10 in February, Perry looked to snag his first victory inside the cage against Anthoney Morris.
Early in the fight, that plan detonated.
The fight ended before it really began, and now Perry faces a lengthy layoff and recovery before he can suit up and throw down for a third time.
Speaking with 247 Fighting Championships General Manager Hunter Homistek, Perry details that injury –– and the sadness that followed.
While Perry admits he faced some serious adversity in the aftermath, he's recommitted and refocused, largely thanks to his Academy teammates and coaches.
This episode takes a deep dive into that mental process –– and it also has plenty of lighter moments, including Perry's ultra-boring Starbucks order, his first fight ever, and much more.
Enjoy the show.

That's not from me. That's from local Mat Factory heavyweight Julian Flenory (who is 3-0 himself inside that cage).
Julian popped into the live stream of the Pittsburgh Combat Sports Podcast with Ethan Hayes to drop off that gem –– and he's not wrong.
Not wrong at all.
Ethan is 3-1 in pro MMA action and 3-0 in pro boxing, and he's constantly growing and evolving as a fighter.
To hear him tell it though?
Well, we'll just say the road wasn't easy. And it still isn't easy. And it probably never will be easy.
Speaking with 247 Fighting Championships General Manager Hunter Homistek, Ethan discusses his career to this point, his future with both sports, and much more.
He even drops off a little secret for you the next time you're ordering coffee at Sheetz.
